MOBILISING COMMUNITIES

Buchan Dial-a-Community Bus is an award-winning transport charity based in Maud and is focussed on the reduction of isolation in Aberdeenshire through the provision of high-quality transport and supported services.

BDACB started life as a small community group in Maud, it originally operated as a weekly service using a borrowed social work minibus driven by off-duty police officers in the 1990’s. In 2000 Buchan Dial-a-Community Bus was formally established and over the years the organisation has grown to its current levels of 10 buses providing thousands of passenger journeys for the most vulnerable people in Aberdeen City and Shire. With the dedication of staff and volunteers along with the direction from the Board of Directors the organisation has continued to flourish and evolved into a major community transport provider in the Central Buchan area with the numerous services provided highlighted throughout.

We provide affordable, accessible transport throughout the Buchan area for some of our society’s most vulnerable individuals.
