Be-link’D is a stand-alone service which will be trialled from February 2020, where we will have a dedicated bus running on a pilot timetable filling the gaps of the current transport providers.
The pilot is to develop a bespoke transport service, timetabled to meet the needs of the users and the service providers, during weekdays. This will cover the areas identified as the most rurally isolated in the Central Buchan area.
Information was gathered through planning meetings with Buchan Local Community Planning and a Transport Survey which was live for approximately 6 weeks. The results of the survey along with the issued address by the group of eight Community Planning Partners found that the areas highlighted in the pilot timetable would benefit most from this new, bespoke, enhanced and responsive service.
